Shop fitting for Optique Plein Centre
Steve Ayme renovated his optical store in Vilers-les-Nancy together with the interior architects from WSB and Forbettershops. The store in Nancy is an example of successful entrepreneurship as an independent entrepreneur in the optics industry in France. A nice range of glasses and contact lenses in combination with personal advice from Steve and his team, that is the core of Optique Plein Center’s success. Steve attracts customers from all over the region. The store is not located in the heart of the city center, but in a community center which provides good parking.
Store design style
At the first meeting, the conclusion was quickly drawn: if we presented fewer glasses but still maintained sufficient presentations, the appearance of the store image could improve considerably. In the new and open store design, we chose to custom design the workshop/bar and the luxury eyewear presentation. In combination with the secure sunglasses presentation from forbettershops and the matching stock cabinets for glasses and packaging materials.
An open store design for the optical store
The store has an open character with the store walls inviting you to continue shopping inside and ask Steve Ayme’s team for advice. When styling the store, Steve was inspired by various store furnishings in the optics of WSB, such as van der Leeuwen Optiek in Delft, Focus Optiek in Eine and Amberg Optiek in Erlangen. Certain elements have also been applied in the open store design for Steve’s optical shop
The collaboration between Rick Blankenstijn from WSB and Steve Ayme from Plein Optique? “Truly excellent, the execution was meticulously prepared down to the millimeter. The third-party work could be purchased efficiently and the planning was completed on time.” There was a personal click between client and interior builder. Steve, congratulations on the new store and good luck!
