Van Leeuwen Optics in Bodegraven Very Satisfied After Moving to A-Location
Van Leeuwen Optics has been a well-known name in Bodegraven for quite some time, but after their recent move to an A-location, their popularity has further increased. Since the move, many more people have been coming in, including many new customers. Rick Blankenstijn of WSB explains: “Over the past year, I have searched for suitable new premises several times together with Jan van Leeuwen. We looked at large premises in less favorable locations and small premises in nice locations, but none met our requirements. This new location seemed perfect for a turn key store design, situated in a visible spot near a supermarket. However, there was one drawback: an extension had to be built towards the street. This required cooperation from both the mayor and aldermen as well as the local residents. After they saw the presentation and the positive effect on the neighborhood, the doors eventually opened. This gave an incredibly good feeling.”
From Building Permit to Handover: Turn key Store Design
The family, consisting of multiple brothers and cousins working in the optics sector, is established in various locations, including ‘s-Gravenzande, Hardinxveld, Sliedrecht, and Werkendam. This well-established family business prides itself on having the owners present in the store, where they and their team provide top-level measurements and eyewear advice.
Jan van Leeuwen approached WSB to oversee the entire process from A to Z. We managed the construction and planning. Some subcontractors were sourced from the client’s network, which resulted in an excellent collaboration. The execution went very well, and the quality was outstanding. Trust was present from the start due to the exceptional design: a store featuring warm, vibrant colors, wooden ceilings, and an intelligent layout. Atmospheric curtains create an intimate ambiance, and the signage reinforces the unique brand identity of Van Leeuwen Opticians.
