Shop design for souvenir & gift shop Amsterdam Experience
Souvenir & gift shop Amsterdam Experience, located on the famous street between Central Station and Dam Square: Rokin, the Damrak of Amsterdam. Thousands of tourists pass by every day, any of whom could be a potential customer. It is of course a great art to stand out among all the sights and other shops. But with the new shop interior design for the souvenir shop by WSB, it is certainly not impossible.
The brief that WSB received from Amsterdam Experience for the shop design was: “Upgrade the souvenir shop to a completely new level of ‘Dutch experience’ for tourists.” Fortunately, the building in the heart of Amsterdam offers a lot of space (almost 400 m2) and height (approximately 6 meters), which offered the designers of WSB many options to explore.
First of all, WSB has given the souvenir shop a clear routing, marked by walking lines. This automatically guides customers through the entire store and thus past the entire range. Many Dutch and Amsterdam themes are gradually discussed, making the visit to the gift shop a real experience.
Amsterdam as a symbol in the souvenir shop interior design
From Delft blue to the Amsterdam weed/marijuana culture, from Dutch windmills to the famous Amsterdam tour boats and from stroopwafels to Ajax. We have given the well-known themes a contemporary experience through fresh use of color and images. Large LED screens have also been installed, which provide the necessary interaction. In addition, the entire base of the gift shop is equipped with flexible mounting options, so that every season can be anticipated. WSB thought the assignment for the shop interior design of the Amsterdam Experience souvenir shop was a great assignment, one that allowed for a lot of creativity.
