A successful renovation in Bernkastel-Kues (DE)
Inspired by the experience of colleagues who had renovated with WSB, Carsten and Kerstin from Optik Kohlbacher in Bernkastel-Kues (DE) decided to redesign their optician’s shop earlier than planned.
The design of store interior for an Optic
The WSB team was given the task of making Carsten and Kerstin’s wishes come true. Bernkastel-Kues is a well-known wine town on the Moselle in Germany and it was therefore a requirement that this was included in the store. WSB’s design concept translates this into warm wood tones with robust slate and industrial steel, creating a connection with viticulture. The feeling of coziness and warmth is enhanced by the electric fireplace that gives the optical store an inviting atmosphere.
Various possibilities for optics presentations
The round cash register with integrated bar is a unique element and added value to the renovated store. The design of the optical store invites customers to stay longer. The customer has the choice to sit or stand while receiving advice. The spacious consultation rooms offer extra comfort for personal attention.
The store has various presentation options. For sunglasses, sports glasses, prescription frames or children’s glasses. This gives the store a varied appearance. All frames are perfectly illuminated by the LED lighting. In addition to an efficient lighting plan with the latest technology, emphasis is also placed on decorative design lighting. Optik Kohlbacher is a fine family business where specialist knowledge, experience and love for the optics profession are central. After the reopening of Optik Kohlbacher, Bernkastel has gained a beautiful optician’s store. An absolutely successful renovation and great collaboration with Carsten and Kerstin!
